Everyone has eaten a lot of green coriander by putting it in vegetables. After cooking, we often put green coriander leaves on the dishes to garnish them. This not only enhances the appearance of the food but also enhances the taste.

Coriander is a medicinal plant having many medicinal properties. Consuming it gives relief from many diseases. Coriander is beneficial in increasing the digestive power of the body, maintaining cholesterol levels, diabetes and many diseases with kidneys. It contains minerals like fat, fibre, carbohydrate, protein etc. which work to make it more powerful. Apart from this, phosphorus, iron, carotene, thiamine, calcium, vitamin C and potassium are found in large quantities in green coriander.

Side effects of Green Coriander

  • Eating green coriander in excess can cause allergic (itching) problems on the skin.
  • Consumption of coriander in excessive amounts can cause problems related to menstruation in women.
  • Too much coriander is not good for a person suffering from asthma.
  • Green coriander is photosensitive. Therefore, consuming more of it increases the problem of sunburn which after a time can cause skin cancer. Apart from this, due to its excessive use, there may also be a complaint of rash, itching, dizziness and troubled breathing.
