What is Kachur ?
Kachur is a medicinal plant belonging to the Zingiberaceae family whose botanical name is Curcuma zedoaria. It is usually a species of turmeric and its color is white. That's why it is also called white turmeric. Its stems grow on the ground. The length of this plant is about 3-4 feet and the leaves are smooth and pink in color from the central part. Its flowers are yellow in color. This herb is bitter in taste.
